Growing up in the coastal range of Oregon, Jasper began studying music at 5 years old and composing at the age of 12.  Furthering his music studies at Azusa Pacific University in California, he then continued his graduate studies in composition at the University of Southern California.

Since that time, Jasper has scored numerous film, television and advertising projects, in all genres and styles.  His specific experience and background in orchestral film music has permeated all aspects of his writing and compositional style.  Journey, line and passion are the themes to his musical creations.

In 2015, Jasper was appointed as Composer In Residence for the Los Robles Master Chorale, under the direction of Artistic Director Dr. Lesley Leighton.  As with his film and TV writing, his choral compositions have been met with strong reviews and accolades, with his piece "Alleluia" winning the 37th Annual Choral Composition Contest at New York's Ithaca College, and one of his more recent commissions, "The Cloths of Heaven", winning the 2nd Annual CA ACDA Composition Contest.

In May of 2017, Jasper was commissioned by The Golden Bridge, led by Suzi Digby, for their concert to be held in September of this year.  Upcoming commissions include two holiday pieces for Los Robles, as well as a multiple part work for choir and orchestra - his largest to date - to be premiered spring of 2018.
